With only a few days left until Christmas, CHR would like to wish happy holidays to all our clients, colleagues, friends and followers, who have contributed to making this year so special. 2019 has been our best year yet and a heartfelt thank you goes to our broad Operations and Consulting Teams, without which none of the great work we have done and keep doing everyday would be possible. This year, we have almost doubled our team, opened two new offices, broaden our work with existing clients, established relationships with new clients, and expanded our therapeutic expertise.

Looking back at the past year, something that makes us particularly proud is what we have achieved by translating CHR’s core values into our Corporate Social Responsibility commitment.

We took our first steps towards promoting a responsible and sustainable approach to travel, helping to offset part of our carbon footprint by planting over 650 trees with Trees for Life in the UK and the National Forests Foundation in the United States. Sustainability is at the core of everything that we do at CHR and through recycling waste in all our offices, donating excess food to OLIO, and donating old office furniture to Cancer Research UK, the ‘Giving Back Project’, and “The Haven+London” we strove to minimise our impact on the environment whilst helping great causes.

The environment was not our only focus and we continued to support charities and organisations that, like our clients, focus on improving the lives of patients around the world. We were a proud sponsor of Findacure in support of their Rare Disease Showcase Series, raising awareness and celebrating innovative developments towards treatment of these unfortunately often neglected conditions. We also raised funds for Breast Cancer Now, Young Minds UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, and many other organisations both at the local and national level.

As soon as the Christmas atmosphere kicked in, we focused our attention on supporting the fantastic charities that support people who are alone or in need during this festive season. This year, our support included Christmas Hamper donations to the Cambridge Food Bank via Conscious Communications and providing gifts to AgeUK’s Christmas Gift Appeal. Delivering our gifts to those who might be lonely during the holidays and spending time with the friendly visitors to the AgeUK Cherry Trees Day Centre was an experience that we will always treasure.

The wonderful decorations in our Cambridge and London offices have been the perfect backdrop to great initiatives like our Christmas Charity Draw, which saw Level Water Swim and Arts and Minds as winners, our Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children and, last but not least, our Secret Santa featuring gifts sourced from over 14 charities!

Going into 2020, we look forward to many more initiatives to “Care for, Help, Reach” people in need and ultimately empower the CHR Team to give back to help Society. Stay tuned for more details in January!
