With the pandemic still in our midst as we round off 2022, feelings of loneliness and isolation sadly remains the reality among some older people. In our commitment to society, CHR teamed up with AgeUK Cambridge and Peterborough for the fourth time running to spread the joyful spirit of Christmas to the community.

To this end, we organised the purchase of over 90 hamper-style gifts, which were wrapped by our team members and delivered them in person. Not only was it a perfect, fun and engaging activity for the team to bring the Christmas spirit to live, but we were also able to bundle exciting gifts varieties of blankets, cosy socks, biscuits, puzzles and toiletries that AgeUK distributed to the elders. It warmed our hearts to see how positively the gifts were received with so much happiness.

In addition, we also had a “Thats a Wrap” event, which took place on Dec 8. The gift wrapping for these children had many CHR members getting involved, with 50 gifts wrapped and ready to go! The gifts will be donated to local children of low-income families who otherwise would go without a gift this winter.
