To celebrate and honour the World Book and Copyright Day, CHR for Society hosted three book clubs virtually in Apr 2021. We voted internally on which books would be the topic of discussion and it turned out to be a good bit of virtual socialising in the end given the constraints we are all facing at this time.

Our first book was ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig about a young woman’s perception in between life and death. Next up was ‘Invisible Women’ by Caroline Criado which exposed some hard truths about our man-made world. Finally, the third group discussed ‘Thinking, Fast and Slow’ by Daniel Kahneman and how to apply our understanding of different thought modalities in communication. Each meet-up spent plenty of time discussing the important elements of each book, taking time away from our busy work schedules for a lunch-hour chat which is something we all have been missing!
