Richard Withers

Strategic Advisor

Following a Commission in the Army, including service as an Intelligence Officer, Richard attended Henley Business School and started his Intelligence Consulting career in the Lifesciences sector.

His first consultancy was acquired by a US based firm, for whom Richard lead the European business and headed the global lifesciences practice. After 4 years, in 2004 he founded Deallus Consulting before selling to Private Equity in 2015.

Since 2018 Richard has provided advice to a number of SME’s including Deallus, Lucid Group, Lessons Learned, AddMustard and Native Design to conduct a strategic review and support a business transformation programme; also becoming a long-standing Strategic Advisor for Cambridge Healthcare Research.

Separately in 2020, he acquired a ‘restoration’ property with a small vineyard in Herefordshire, which has proven to be more challenging than anticipated and so much fun he would not recommend it to anyone! Richard is a poor but enthusiastic skier, an Audax member and dismayed Welsh Rugby supporter.
