Senior Associate Consultant

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and resourceful individual to join our fast growing consulting team.

As a Senior Associate (Competitive Intelligence) at CHR, you will work across a number of different accounts and project teams, focussing on different therapeutic areas and clients. Day-to-day activities will include market scoping and analysis, management of projects including client relationship and project team, preparation and presentation of client deliverables. The role will also involve some primary research over the phone and at international medical congresses. In addition to this, the successful applicant will support the partners with business development activities and the generation of project proposals.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to quickly develop an expertise in a broad range of therapeutic areas as well as gaining direct exposure to the key commercial and strategic problems faced by the world’s top pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices companies.

Based on the dynamic and evolving strategy of our business, direct exposure to clients should be expected from week one.

What it takes to be part of CHR:

  • Experience managing projects or streams of work within projects
  • Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD or post-doc) or business (MBA)
  • 1-2 years of experience at a competitive intelligence firm, with special focus on life sciences
  • Strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry and the development and commercialization of a pharmaceutical product
  • Proven business and/or commercial acumen
  • Strong research and analysis skills, ability to conceptualize analysis into processes and frameworks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to communicate effectively and succinctly both verbally and in writing
  • Foreign languages although not a necessary requirement may be an advantage
  • Delegation and people management skills
  • Team player; able to work effectively as part of diverse and virtual teams and build relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality outputs under time-pressured deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Once at CHR:

  • Provide problem-solving leadership and mentor business analysts and associates
  • Lead the development and delivery of client deliverables in collaboration with other team members and engagement manager
  • Manage project team and effectively implement project plan according to project proposal and timeline
  • Contribute towards client and account planning /execution including proposals
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative research findings, using a range of tools and techniques, to generate insights and develop client recommendations
  • Attend international medical conferences to conduct primary and secondary research by attending symposia and poster sessions and through the engagement with Key Opinion Leaders and commercial sources.
